Concrete SF Supports Local Sport and Stronger Communities

Concrete Structures & Floors is proud to support local sport through sponsorships of five rugby, cricket and football clubs and teams across South Wales. Our community support brings together Penarth RFC, Penarth Cricket Club, Dunvant RFC Under 16s, Caerau/Ely RFC Minis and Cardiff Town FC—recognising the people who make grassroots sport an important part of everyday life.

For us, community spirit means taking an interest in what happens beyond the construction site. Local clubs give people a reason to come together, help young players discover their abilities and create connections between families, volunteers and supporters. We are pleased to play our part alongside the teams whose effort and enthusiasm keep that spirit alive.

Our new Community and Local Sports Sponsorship page introduces each of the clubs we sponsor and provides links to their own websites and updates.

Why community sports sponsorship matters to Concrete SF

Successful teams depend on people pulling in the same direction. That principle is familiar in construction, where preparation, communication and responsibility help a project progress. On a rugby pitch, at the cricket ground or beside a football touchline, teamwork takes a different form, but the importance of commitment remains.

Grassroots sport also offers something that extends beyond results. It creates opportunities to be active, learn new skills and feel part of a community. For young players, training and matches can provide a setting in which to practise perseverance, respect and cooperation. For families and supporters, a club can become a place of friendship and shared pride.

Our sponsorships reflect the value we place on those connections. We recognise that the strength of a local club comes from the people behind it, including those who give their time without seeking recognition.

Penarth RFC: celebrating local rugby and shared pride

Penarth RFC has been part of the town’s sporting story since 1880. Based at Penarth Athletic Club on Lavernock Road, its senior, youth, mini and junior rugby brings generations together through the game.

Concrete Structures & Floors is proud to sponsor Penarth RFC and celebrate a club with a strong connection to its community. Whether someone is taking their first steps in rugby or following the senior team, a shared club identity can create a lasting sense of belonging. We appreciate the dedication of the players, coaches and volunteers who carry that identity forward.

Penarth Cricket Club: bringing people together through cricket

Penarth Cricket Club plays at the Athletic Field on Lavernock Road in the Vale of Glamorgan. With senior cricket, women’s softball cricket and junior development, it provides different ways for people to enjoy the sport.

Cricket combines individual skill with collective responsibility. A player’s contribution matters, but so does the support of the team around them. We are pleased to sponsor Penarth Cricket Club and recognise its place in local sporting life, from the enjoyment of learning the game to the friendships formed over a season.

Dunvant RFC Under 16s: recognising the next generation

Dunvant RFC’s junior and mini sections welcome players of all abilities at Broadacre in the Swansea area. The Under 16s are at a significant stage in their development, gaining experience and learning what it means to contribute to a team.

Our sponsorship of Dunvant RFC Under 16s celebrates that commitment. Youth rugby can encourage confidence, resilience and respect, while giving players a shared purpose. We also recognise the coaches, volunteers and families whose encouragement helps young people continue enjoying their sport.

Caerau/Ely RFC Minis: making the first steps in rugby count

Caerau/Ely RFC is rooted in Cardiff, with rugby at Trelai Park and a mini and junior section that introduces children to the game. At mini level, enjoyment, friendship and learning are central to the experience.

Concrete Structures & Floors is proud to sponsor the Minis. We value the role of local clubs in creating positive sporting experiences for children and appreciate the people who give their time to make those experiences possible. The enthusiasm of young players reminds us why community sport deserves support.

Cardiff Town FC: supporting the spirit of local football

Cardiff Town FC is another local team we are proud to sponsor. Football brings players and supporters together around a shared ambition, with commitment on the pitch matched by encouragement from the sidelines.

Our support recognises the passion behind community football and the effort involved in keeping a team moving forward. We are pleased to stand alongside Cardiff Town FC and celebrate the teamwork, determination and local connections that make the game meaningful.

A thank you to the people behind grassroots sport

Every local club relies on work that supporters do not always see: organising training, preparing for matches, communicating with families and making new players feel welcome. Those contributions deserve recognition alongside performances on the field.

To the players, coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters of all five clubs: thank you for your time, energy and commitment. Concrete Structures & Floors is proud to sponsor your clubs and teams and to share in the community spirit you create.
